In the 1990s, the troop became chartered by the Izaak Walton League of Elgin and began meeting at our current12645131_921457181236416_2535479621771505956_n location at the lodge at the Izaak Walton Center. Troop 10 is chartered by Elgin’s Izaak Walton League, one of the oldest conservation groups in America. Troop 10 works with the organization to study and preserve our rivers and streams. Our troop helps clean the Willow and Poplar Creeks that run behind the lodge where we meet. With the Izaak Walton League’s 11 acre nature reserve, our troop has the opportunity to explore and learn about nature each week.
